Welcome to the Coalition of National Nursing Organisations (CoNNO) website.

The Coalition of National Nursing Organisations (CoNNO) is made up of more than 50 national nursing organisations in an alliance to work collectively to advance the nursing profession to improve health care. The Coalition represents the national interests of nurses in all sectors of the health profession, and comprise specialist national nursing organisations from many different areas of nursing practice. With primary funding support from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, the Coalition meets face to face twice a year.

CoNNO Secretariat

Since the inception of CoNNO (previously the NNO) in 1991, the Australian Nursing Federation has been the Secretariat for the Coalition. The Federal Office Professional Team is responsible for the day to day operations of CoNNO.

The Secretariat manages the CoNNO budget, website, correspondence, publications and reports along with various additional projects.

Revised NMBA Professional Indemnity Insurance Arrangements Registration Standard

The Professional Indemnity Insurance Insurance Arrangements Registration Standard for nurses and midwives was revised on 10 January 2012. This replaces the standard in place from 1 July 2010. View here.

Revised NMBA English Language Skills Registration Standard

The English language skills registration standard for nurses and midwives was revised on 19 September 2011. View here.
