Governance Framework
The governance of the work of CoNNO is guided by the Governance Framework. The Framework was formally endorsed on December 6th 2007.

Governance Standards for Nursing and Midwifery Organisations
CoNNO (formerly NNO) developed a set of Sound Governance Standards to guide the governance practice of organisations representing the interests of nurses and midwives and other health professionals.
Governance Standards Report
The report from the project to develop the Governance Standards for specialist nursing and midwifery organisations is available.
This report contains:
- the Governance Standards;
- the process undertaken to develop them;
- the results of a survey to map the application of the Governance Standards across the CONNO member organisations;
- the survey itself; and
- some example documents to provide guidance to organisations in the development of guidelines, and a constitution.

Governance Standards Toolkit
The Governance Standards and Toolkit for Nursing and Midwifery Organisations are freely available for use by any organisations representing the interests of health professionals.
The toolkit contains:
- the Governance Standards;
- a questionnaire to assist organisations in assessing their own governance practice; and
- a template for the development of an Action Plan .
